Ms. Begley's advice might well be applied to most of the solutions to environmental problems which are tossed about so casually by environmental advocates and politicians.  It appears that the current Golden Boy for alternative energy advocates, biofuels (especially ethanol), have significant unintended consequences.  It appears that our love affair with ethanol is about to meet up with the realities of its consequences.  It behooves those of us who are concerned about environmental matters to not squander our credibility by jumping on each environmental "solution" bandwagon without using more thoughtfulness than apparently went into our mania for ethanol.
