I should say, Clinton rejected Kyoto and it was ratified by other countries while he was in offce..

Lest I create a bit of cognitive dissonance for all you European surrender monkeys, here's a fact.

Kyoto was ratified under Clinton, with majority support in Congress.

The American people recognized the junk  and debunked science contained in the protocol (you can download and read it anytime you wish, I dare you), and called it the farce that it is.

And I would say to all those same Europeans who love Obama so much, and think he's Mr Cool guy because here's 1/2 black, and believe Americans are finally starting to come around...If you like him so much why don't you go ahead and elect a black man to run one of your countries, or for that matter, any non-white person?

You all need history lessons.

Obama could retain Michael Wood as U.S. ambassador to Sweden. I know that traditionally ambassadorships are given to political sycophants and fundraisers but there's no law that says a change in administration should automatically mean a change in ambassadors. If the man's doing a good job then he should stay on; just like Gates the secretary of Defense.

If someone in Sweden will miss Bush it is certainly no one I know. I'd say Bush would handily win a "most hated man"-contest. Even people that seems otherwise completely apolitical hate him. This is not entirely (irony alert) rational, but still no one will miss him. I think most people will get very disappointed with Obama in a year or two. Right now even the swedes expects too much of him.  

If we're gonna trash the guy when he's wrong, we need to admit it when he was right. This is one thing where it appears Bush was on the right track. I'd like to think the new embassador to Sweden would continue this work. Maybe Michael Wood should stay on.
