Mark Starr
Thanks for reminding us about Specter's lack of integrity when dealing with Anita Hill. He showed his true colors then, and he is showing them now.
Somehow, I doubt the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania like having their elected officials waste their hard-earned tax dollars on whether or not somebody was taping football games. It seems reasonable to me that the NFL has it's own integrity police who can and will deal with this issue.
Now - if the gentleman from Penn wants to spend some time looking into the ridiculous tax-exempt status for the multi-billion dollar industry that is professional football, and start hearings as to why we shouldn't tax it like every other legitimate business, I'd say that might be a more productive, and appropriate, use of his time.
First of all Mark, Get A Life!
There are those of us in this world that believe that integrity, justice, dependability, judgment and honor are more than mere words. The actions of the few, truly tarnish the hard work of the many. And if you truly believe that the actions taken to correct the deficiencies of the Patriot’s leadership were sufficient than you have never truly known the meaning of honor and respect. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of young girls and boys, women and men that look for role models. Liars and cheaters need not apply, and should rightly be pointed out with the brightest spotlight that this is not the way to lead and is not an acceptable example to set. It was sickening to see a proven cheater awarded as coach of the year, which ultimately quantifies the only thing that matters is the “Big W” at any cost. What the Senator from Pennsylvania is stating plain and simply is that there are more important things than winning. It’s Honor, Integrity, Judgment and Justice. But you wouldn’t know that, your to caught up in the circus.
there is a sen fron pa. his opions prove hes an "A", when the feds got caught with thier ears in your shorts , the sen from pa siad its ok, but alas it was the pats , theyve now put the world in danger, so forget the economy the war in iraq or the other problems we face, for the pats had a cam on that fateful day in sept o7, now the sen from pa says he was sent from the heavens to make the nfl pay, it seems his cronies from comcast with the generous lawyers want to have the last say, i can only hope when they arise from the bed they forgot the ky on his sphincter, theres no nation at stake, people wont go hungry, and seeing were no longer being screwed by medical and drug companies, yea its ok for Senator Arlen Spector to show us all hes a SPHINCTER.
It appears that Senator Specter has suffered greatly for the loss of his beloved Eagles during Super Bowl 39. Perhaps he should sue for great emotional suffering even though what he is attempting to due is not within the realm of a senator. As a senator his only concerns should be the welfare of the country and its citizens. He should be concerned with the military conflicts, gas prices and health insurance for the citizens of the US. Apparently none of these issues matter greatly to Mr. Specter because he has spent every waking moment on the phone with NFL Commissioner. This is a fine way to spend the taxpayers' money. I sincerely hope he can sleep at night with all the unresolved issues in the US and the world that we are involved in.
