Switzerland is the world's most environmentally sound country, according to Yale University's Environmental Performance Index. The study found that although wealthy countries tend to be greener, good governance counts, too. Green policies, for instance, pushed relatively poor Colombia ahead of France on the list of 149 countries. America (no surprise here) scored poorly. See the complete list.
